As we approach Easter Sunday all schools in Haiti have been closed for the week in celebration of Holy Week and preparation of Easter! School will resume next Tuesday as they enter the last two month stretch of the school year.
Last week students received some special gifts from Coral Ridge Presbyterian church and Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale. What a special surprise! Last month 300 reusable bags were filled with gifts and school supplies for students at College Susan Schuenke. Though the process of getting deliveries in Haiti can be a lengthly one, the reward is great and worth the effort. After the bags were filled with gifts, love and prayer they were dropped of at Mission Flight International for their journey by plane to Cap Haitian, Haiti. The gifts made their arrival in Haiti and then finally to the school where they were hand delivered by teachers to students. These gifts were surly an encouragement and joy to the students and their families. Please enjoy some more photos below of the process from stateside preparation to student delivery in Haiti.
