Good morning friends! Welcome to November. The month of Thanksgiving and mid-term elections. I am reminded of Paul’s instruction to us in I Thessalonians 5:17-18: …pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”Paul, himself, lived in the Roman Empire ruled by Caesar Augustus. Nevertheless, he penned these words in I Timothy 2:1-3,8: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior…Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.
How’s that for a November challenge?
